PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Create awareness to advocate for Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) (Select 1 topic)

  • Create  a poster that will create awareness for issues that persons with disabilities face in Singapore. (Education, Employment,Accessibility)  

  • Create a poster that will help create awareness for DPA and ask for donations

CREATIVE OBJECTIVES

  • Create awareness of disability issues through public education.

 

DESIRED AUDIENCE RESPONSE

  • Understand issues PWDs face in Singapore and create awareness

DELIVERABLES

To design and craft a communicative poster using one of the following methods:

  1. Digital (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)

  2. Poster Colour Collage

  3. Marker Rendering

  4. Wood Burning

Submission: A3 size poster (297mm X 420mm) to be mounted on an A2 mounting board

JUDGING CRITERIA

- Meeting Creative Objective (40%)

- Creativity (40%)

- Craftsmanship (20%)

 

 

DEADLINE OF SUBMISSION

  • All submissions are to be completed before 7 July 2017 and will be collected by the organiser on pre-scheduled time slots.

  • Incomplete or inappropriate submission will be   rejected.

Disabled People’s Association

The Disabled People’s Association (DPA) is a non-profit, cross-disability organisation, officially registered in Singapore on 28th April 1986. They

are a full member of the National Council of Social Service and also are registered as an Institution of Public Character with approval to issue tax

exemption receipts to their donors.

Their mission is to be the voice of persons with disabilities, working with them to achieve full participation and equal status in the society through independent living. ​

 

Registration  Procedures

  • Kindly email us at competition@designforgood.sg to indicate your interest in participating in DFG for updates on the competition.

  • Students are encouraged to submit on individual basis or team of maximum 3. 

  • There is no fee required for registration and  participation in the competition.

  • Upon completion of your registration, please print the submission label at http://bit.ly/dfgform and submit (with all required fields completed) together with your deliverable before or by the deadline.

Awards

  • Finalist will be invited to the Winner Workshops - Change Maker event

  • Category Winners (Best Craftmanship, Most Creative, Best Work) will receive a throphy and will get 1 week intership / learning programme at award winning social enterprise Make The Change to learn how to bring their ideas into real implementation by the NGO.
