“Every man must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism or in the darkness of destructive selfishness.” - Martin Luther King, Jr.
Design For Good (DFG) scholars definitely walk in the light of creative altruism. Armed with an ardent purpose to touch lives and confront existing parameters, they scale new heights by anticipating opportunity in every challenge.
Bearing that as the leading objective, DFG aims to nurture spirited youths to be committed in creating sustainable social good. The only requirement DFG sets for its awardees is for them to contribute their knowledge, skills and talents back to the community during the course of study.
In collaboration with the acclaimed M.A.D. School by Chatsworth Medi@rt Academy, DFG scholarship is awarded to budding creatives so that they can harness the essence of Marketing, Advertising and Design. DFG scholars, positioned to be “thinker first, creative second”, would then be adept in using their learnt craft to design for good.
Design for Good (DFG) Scholarship
The Design For Good (DFG) Scholarship supports its scholar’s study for a full-time Professional Diploma in Advertising and Design. Other than subsidising half of the academic course fees in M.A.D. School, the scholarship also grants its recipient direct entry into M.A.D. School’s mentorship programme, exclusive talks, outreach events and Industry Orientation Programmes (IOP). In addition, the recipient also has priority for overseas immersion programmes and participate in the famed D&AD and Crowbar Awards competition.
As aforementioned, the DFG Scholarship programme attunes scholars to design for good. For heightened exposure into the landscape of socio-creative services today, full-time students will be giving back to the community through an internship programme under Make The Change (MTC) or their affiliated partners during the course of study.
Design For Good Scholarship’s Partner:
In a world that separates the chaff from the wheat, M.A.D. School has been honing exceptional strategic thinking skills to stay ahead of the game. True to its manifesto, they believe in creating to change, and changing to create. Drawing out unconventional insights for its students to stay nimble, M.A.D. students act, not react. These skills are absolutely vital to account for the triple bottom line that underscore the socio-creative landscape today.
Henceforth, the DFG Scholarship primes itself to offer M.A.D. School’s signature formula in their collaboration. M.A.D. School’s Professional Diploma in Advertising and Design is a combination of the Diploma in Communication Design and Specialist Diploma in Advertising Design. Students benefit from site visits, case studies, hands-on assignments and explorations into contemporary design by creating their portfolios through reputable industry-based training.
