Solutions to End Poverty (STEP) Singapore is a non-profit organisation established to improve the lives of the poor and eradicate poverty. Teaming up with Pour un Sourire d'Enfant (PSE), a non-governmental organisation that provides free education to poor children, they started an initiative known as Smile Village (SV).

 

 

Anchoring their methodology in community development, STEP believes in a holistic and sustainable approach to end poverty. One of their projects was to collaborate with Design For Good in training their SMILE Village residents in sewing, rug-making and woodcrafting skills.
